In Denmark Aller has a market share for weekly magazines of 72%. In Sweden 83%. Norway 48% and in Finland 26%. Aller had a turnover of 4.0 billion Dkr in 2006/07 and employs more than 2.000 people. 600 of these work in Denmark!

Origin

Aller was founded in 1873 in Copenhagen, Denmark by Carl Julius Aller and his wife Laura.

In 1894 Aller started in Sweden and in 1897 in Norway. In 1992 Aller was founded in Finland.

Aller is still owned by the Aller family. Today Aller is a modern media company with a digital media strategy.

Aller runs some of the most visited internet sites in the Nordic countries and premium rate mobile activities. Furthermore Aller runs new advertising media both on- and off-line. Furthermore we have services such as Client publishing, Instore magazines, free magazines and Business publications.

Every week, the Danes turn the pages of Billed Bladet, Se & Hør, Familie Journalen, Ude & Hjemme, Søndag and Kig Ind. Furthermore we inspire and entertain children, teenagers, women and men with everything from Winx, Story, Vi Unge, IN, ELLE and Bazar. In Denmark alone, we publish no less than 32 different weeklies and magazines.

Furthermore, all of our weeklies and magazines have homepages, where it is possible to shop, blog, sign up for newsletters and participate in competitions among a lot of other things.

Taking care of employees

Our market position obligates. We therefore put a great deal of weight on providing the best surroundings and working conditions for our workforce of 650 employees, in order for them to provide the customers with the utmost of products.
